please no. The 5.0 is such a good engine. I still dont get why people ever get the Ecopoop. Especially when a custom dyno tune will give you 20+ mpg on the highway. Also mid 11's at the drag strip like our shop car

Ik, my only problem is that I’d be constantly wanting a V8. The Ecopoop is really good for the price though.

I’m also considering a ‘14 F-150 with the 5.0 and doing some shit to it. Damn fast trucks those.

Hell, they make good power to begin with. 0-60 in like 6. Something seconds with the 5.0 and like 5.8 or something with the Ecopoop 3.5

Yeah, a lighter more evenly balanced car with more torque when tuned than a 5.0 that still returns 30+ mpg highway is terrible

more torque? how much? Our shop car with bolts ons and a tune makes way more. i can assure you that a 5.0 makes more torque. and its an auto car for drag racing.

Going off of the few dyno sheets I’ve cared to look at a tune only GT is making something like 375 lb ft to the wheels while a tune only EB is making 390.

I’m not trying to win a pissing contest nor am I really trying to say the Ecoboost is better. I’m just saying it deserves quite a bit more respect than you seem willing to give it. It’s a righteously quick car with good handling characteristics that’s every bit as fun to drive as anything else it compares to. The GT is a solid car as well, but I’m quite happy with my EB and I think you’d be surprised at how good the motor can be when woken up with a tune
